The Tub

Site 06CNR MARINE TCE & QUEEN ST

In 1835 the Vasse settlement was less than 3 years old and comprised only four families (including the district constable). Government representative Lieutenant Bunbury inspected the area and approved the anchorage in the bay, where “the Tub” had already been erected by the earliest settlers.
