Prospect Villa

Busselton townsite was officially gazetted in 1847 but still referred to as ‘The Vasse’ for many years. Pioneer settler, farmer and merchant, James Chapman, constructed one of its first residences naming it Prospect Villa. It consisted of two ground floor rooms and two upper floor rooms with the whole building only one room wide.
